Telecom giant Airtel has discontinued one of its most long-term prepaid plans costing Rs 2398. The prepaid plan offered 1.5GB daily data, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS per day. It had a validity of 365 days.
Now that Airtel has discontinued the Rs 2398 prepaid plan that was launched way back in December, it is only left with Rs 2498 prepaid plan and Rs 1498 prepaid plans in the yearly plans segment.
The Rs 2498 prepaid plan offers 2GB data per day, unlimited calling to all network, and 100 SMS per day. It ships with a free subscription to the Airtel Xtream app and free hello tunes. The Rs 2498 prepaid plan has a validity of 365 days.
The Rs 2498 prepaid plan makes a lot more sense amongst the all three long term prepaid plan that Airtel has. In just a hundred rupees more, users could get 2GB data per day instead of 1.5GB data per day if they chose the Rs 2498 prepaid plan over the Rs 2398 prepaid plan.
If we compare Airtel’s yearly prepaid plan with its rival Jio, the Reliance-owned telecom brand the same benefits as the Rs 2498 prepaid plan offers albeit at a lesser price. The Reliance Jio prepaid plan offering 2GB data per day for 365 days costs Rs 2399.
“Only users chosen basis the eligibility criteria set by Airtel will be credited with Data Coupons. There is no limit to numbers of daily winners but one user can be judged winner only once throughout the contest,” the terms and conditions on the offer read.
