One of the leading fitness apps, Endomondo, will not be operational starting New Year’s Eve , 2020. The corporate has announced that the fitness app are going to be pack up by the top of this year.
The announcement comes after Under Armour, the company that owns Endonmodo, decided to urge obviate it from the App Stores .”On December 31st, 2020, Endomondo are getting to be retired and rendered inoperative.
Under Armour will remove Endomondo from all app stores and can not provide bug fixes or customer support for any version of the Endomondo app that is still on your device.
If you’ve been tracking workouts in Endomondo, UA MapMyRun provides a comparable tracking experience,” the support page of Endonmodo read. So from New Year’s Day Eve , you’ll not be ready to use the app. The app would explode Google Play Store and Apple App Store and can be rendered inoperative.
As per reports, the premium membership are going to be canceled at the top of 2020 but the users can use the advantages till New Year’s Eve . “On November 30, 2020, all Premium memberships are going to be canceled and no further charges for Endomondo Premium will occur.
You will retain your Premium benefits, however, until the app’s official retirement date of New Year’s Eve , 2020. Users who already purchased Premium through December 2020 or beyond will receive a prorated refund, managed by the platform with which you subscribed,” the corporate said.
Under Armour has already marketed its sister app MapMyRun which can provide a comparable tracking experience. The corporate has also clarified that it’ll port the users’ data from Endonmodo to MapMyRun
“Your data rights interest us! We’ve made porting your workouts from Endomondo to UA MapMyRun a seamless process. Once you transfer your workout history from Endomondo to UA MapMyRun, you’ll enroll in personalized training plans and still enjoy being a part of a worldwide fitness community.
You’ll have access to your Endomondo data, and thus the power to import it into UA MapMyRun or another platform, until March 31, 2021. After the 31st, your personal data are going to be deleted,” the support page read.You can also transfer your workout history from Endomondo to MapMyRun. Here is how
- Visit the web site MapMyRun and make an account
- attend settings from the menu.
- On the left side of the web site , click on the Connect option
- Click on MapMyFitness that appears once you select the Connect option.
- Enter the e-mail address and password for the MapMyRun account and click on “Authorize.”
- When the accounts are connected, click on the toggle on the “Sync past workouts” option
