India’s most affordable car Tata Nano will be discontinued from April 2020. Tata Nano joined Maruthi Alto 800 on scrap list of BS-VI emission norm which will be coming to effect on April 2020. Most affordable cars in India are going down with new norms as affordability comes without safety and security.
Speaking to reporters Mayank Pareek, President (Passenger Vehicle Business Unit) of Tata Motors said that with new norms in to effect,we may not invest in upgrading all the products. Nano is one of them.
Earlier there are few reports Tata nano will stop production due to poor sales, However Tata nano was sold to interested customer based on order on sales basics. Tata Nano dream run started in 2008 when it was reviled as World’s cheapest car, Tata had both challenges and success with Nano. Finally a decade long fairy tale coming to an end.
