Companies paying ChatGPT experts up to Rs. 1.5 crore
Companies on LinkedIn are reportedly prepared to pay people who have expertise in ChatGPT up to USD 185,000 (around Rs 1.5 crore) per year, according to a Business Insider report.
For instance, a US-based HR business called Recruiting from Scratch is hiring for the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Audio, and the skills required for the job include “Familiarity with current AI tools and platforms, including ChatGPT, Midjourney, and others.”
Additionally, the salary range for the position is set at USD 125,000 to USD 185,000 yearly.
A remote machine learning engineer is needed by interface.ai, a conversational AI tool for the finance sector, to incorporate cutting-edge models like GPT into its products. This entry-level position pays between $130,000 and $170,000 yearly. Behind ChatGPT, the job requires “experience with natural language processing and large language models.”
The company’s CEO, Srinivas Njay, told Insider, “Experience with LLMs is a key requirement for the role. Ultimately this helps our customers, banks and credit unions, become more efficient in engaging with their customers.”
Prompt engineering as a profession in growth
The concern that using ChatGPT will make people lose their jobs has been associated with it often. However, many experts also think that the AI technology will lead to more job creation. Prompt Engineering is one of these professions that is currently growing in popularity.
Anthropic, a San Francisco-based AI firm, posted a job listing in March of this year looking to hire a Prompt Engineer and a Librarian with salaries up to USD 335,000 yearly. This amount is about Rs 2.7 crore in Indian Rupees.
San Francisco is not the only location that is recruiting for AI Prompt Engineering roles, though. You will find multiple places looking for prompt engineers by visiting LinkedIn or any other job-searching platform. Several websites started offering courses on prompt engineering to help people become masters in the field in light of the role’s prominence.
