Twitter, CEO, Elon Musk allegedly told the employees on Monday that the company has undertaken to streamline and now hiring for the posts in engineering and sales.

Further, employees are spurred to make referrals and the top priority lies on the people well-versed in writing software.

Up until last week, roughly 1,000 Twitter employees had resigned in bulk after Musk told the remaining staff that they had to adhere to new, stricter work standards or risk being fired.

Musk had fired many employees, including senior executives such as CEO Parag Agarwal, and Vijay Gadde, the head of the company’s legal, policy and trust. Many top engineers and managers have either resigned or been dismissed since he took over the company on October 27.

Following the recent layoffs of nearly two-thirds of its 7,500 employees, Twitter is apparently preparing to resume hiring.

The company is finished with layoffs, Musk told the staff on Monday, and the company is now “actively recruiting for openings in engineering and sales, and employees are encouraged to make references.” Additionally, it is noted that software writers are given preference.

Musk also made clear that there are no plans to relocate Twitter’s HQ from San Francisco to Texas in a meeting held on Monday. The report mentioned that Musk acknowledged that the reorganization of Twitter would “have a lot of mistakes,” but the company will “stabilize over time”.

However, it looks like things are finally settling down as the company plans to hire new staff which results in no more layoffs expected at Twitter.
